GameCreate - Getting Started
Welcome to GameCreate, a gameserver management system second to none.
You would have just created your new domain and been logged in. You may want to open a new browser session while referencing this page.
Terminology
Throughout this guide, manual, and the GameCreate website, a common terminology is used to identify a few objects.
A host is used to define physical hardware that is used to run your servers.
A server is an individual server process (Such as a Battlefield 2 server, or Soldat server).
A game is the game the server is apart of (A Battlefield 2 server uses the Battlefield 2 game).
Setting up your hosts
To begin using GameCreate, you need to add hosts (the physical hardware that runs your servers) to the GameCreate system.
This is very easy to do.
First, you need to download the appropriate GameCreate Client software for your hosts (Windows and Linux versions are available).

TODO: Update this guide if necessary
Simply running the client on your hosts will add the hosts to your domain (when provided with the correct login details). When the client has logged in, visit your Hosts tab and ensure the hosts have been added with the correct physical address (or IP Address). You can check by clicking on the appropriate host and viewing its Overview page. If the listed address is incorrect or you experience other problems, visit the [GameCreate Client Troubleshoot] page.
Installing some games
Once you have setup your hosts, you can now install a number of games on any number of hosts.
Visit the Games tab, and select the 'Install a new game' link (Alternativly, visit a host, and click 'Install a new game on this host').
Note: If you already have the software installed, simply indicate so during the wizard.
Follow the steps through and you will have installed the required software on your hosts.
Adding a new server
Now we can add a new server to your domain.
Select the game you have just installed (either via the Games tab, or a host's Overview tab) and then the 'Create a new server' link.
Fill out your desired settings, and click Save.
GameCreate Client will now start a server with your provided settings, and may be controlled via the GameCreate website.
Setting up permissions
Finally, if you would like other users to help administer your domain, you can give them the appropriate permissions to do so.
The main groups of permissions exist on several levels. You can assign a user specific permissions to a given server (Visit that server's permissions tab), all servers of a given game (Visit the specific game's permissions tab), or domain wide - just like your initial account has.
To add a user to the system permissions (which has access to everything), visit the System tab, then 'Domain Permissions'.
Select the 'System Permissions' tab from the permission tab box, and add the user there.
You're now setup
You are now setup to begin exploring your GameCreate management system.
If you need further help on a given subject, clicking the 'Help' button which appears on every GameCreate page will link you to the given manual page with additional help on the area you are currently viewing.
