GameCreate provides as much flexability in Game permissions as possible, and these permissions can be granted or revoked in two distinctly different ways. Permissions can be granted on all games within a specific game type from that games overview page, any permissions applied from there will automatically grant or revoke that user with permissions with every current and future game created for the given game type.
Another way to grant or revoke user permissions is by the actual game server itself. When in a specific game server overview, any permissions applied will be granted only to that specific host itself.
Game and game server permissions are broken up into the following:
Show Authorised Users: Shows users who currently have permissions for game or game server
Search by Name: Allows you to search for a user to grant permission by name
Search by Email: Allows you to search of a user to grant permission for this host by email address
Once a user has been searched for and selected, you can then attribute settings specific to that user. The type of controls that can be applied are
No Access - Doesnt apply any access for the user
Read only - Grants access to the user to see all current settings applied to a game or game server, however the user can not modify any settings a game has.
Write - Give user access to make changes to the game or game server, including change configuration settings, and more.
In addition to these option, to allow greater flexability to domain owners, there is an advanced permissions page by ticking the check box on the bottom right Show advanced permission settings. The options here increase the permission options that can be applied against the users account, these are
List - Allows the user to be able to see servers or the game page
Control - Allows the user to Control server or servers in group, EG: Start/Stop/Restart games or game
Read - Grants the user read only access to the server for setting discussions
Write Players - If this is unchecked when not using Full access, the player will not be able to make changes to players, this is useful for rental services where you wish to give a user almost full control but not affect settings that may affect host resources.
Write - This will grant the user access to make changes to the Game or game server configuration tab, however they will not be able to make changes to file and templete settings
New - Grants the user the ability to add additional servers to the system
